Managing, refurbishing and promoting independent hotels in Paris and France since 1923

The origins of Paris Inn Group are a family business spanning four generations. The business has come a long way since the acquisition of its first hotel in Paris…

The Albar family buys its first hotel, the Printania, in Paris’ 20th District. Two more hotels follow, in the 18th District.

The family acquires the Aux Ducs de Bourgogne Hotel which is managed by Daniel Albar for more than 35 years.
Daniel Albar and Jean-Bernard Falco meet, leading to a period of rapid expansion with the acquisition of eight hotels in the space of a few years.
The birth of Paris Inn Group in its current form. The company sets up a Yield/Revenue Management team and launches its e-commerce portal. One year later, Paris Inn Group achieves 50% of its turnover through the Internet.
The teams expand progressively with the addition of operational, administrative and finance, legal, development and human resources departments.
Several refurbishment projects are initiated by Céline Falco (born Albar) on a selection of hotels, working with Paris’ top hotel designers.
An Internet department responsible for optimising sales and the online presence of the hotels managed by Paris Inn is created within the group and made into a subsidiary: Hotels Grand Paris.
Now a manager, investor and owner in the hotel sector, Paris Inn Group begins to diversify its activities and becomes a significant player in the Paris hotel sector. The group extends its business into the Languedoc-Roussillon region with the construction of two hotels in Perpignan and launches Book Inn France, its new business brand.
Paris Inn Group relocates to 96 Boulevard Haussmann in the 8th District (one of Paris’ premier business districts) and signs a joint venture with one of the world’s best-established companies, Prudential Financial Inc. or PFI (NYSE: PRU) under the aegis of Pramerica.

The hotel portfolio continues to develop with the acquisition of a building in Paris CBD and the conduct of several construction projects in Paris and Ile-de-France. Paris Inn Group and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI) form joint-venture to invest in the Paris hotel sector.

The newly-formed joined-venture acquire a portofolio of 4 hotels in central Paris, totaling 626 rooms.

The MAISON ALBAR Champs Elysées Mac Mahon is awarded five stars, the 1st hotel to receive this honour. Paris Inn Group and Plateno Group work together on a joint venture to create the first Sino-French luxury hotel brand, MAISON ALBAR.
